This memoir was Louisa Deasey’s debut, and was published by Arena, Allen & Unwin in 2010. Alexandra Nahlous was the editorial manager at Allen & Unwin, and she worked closely with the author and publisher to develop the manuscript through a structural edit.
As well as the editing, Alexandra project-managed the production process, including managing external suppliers.
This title was chosen for the Residential Editorial Program, Varuna, and Alexandra was the guest speaker at the conclusion of the program to discuss her editing process.
