About me

May 26, 2016

I am a freelance book editor with nearly two decades of editing and publishing experience in the Australian publishing industry. I began my career at Lansdowne Publishing, where I worked on illustrated titles and cookbooks. I then moved to Allen & Unwin, where I remained for the next nine years as a senior editor, progressing my career to editorial manager. In 2009 I won the 2009/2010 Beatrice Davis Editorial Fellowship and I spent three months in New York working with publishers in the area of women’s fiction, which is my passion. On my return I moved to Pan Macmillan Australia, where I published commercial fiction. Between 2013 and 2015, I taught the Professional Editing course at the University of Technology, Sydney.
